This limited variety warehouse-format chain specializes
in selling discount goods to our customers, many of whom
shop regularly at our A&P stores. Many of the
FoodBasics stores are franchised, allowing the company
to form partnerships with operators across the region.
The Food Emporium
These upscale supermarkets are designed to meet the
needs of demanding shoppers and feature gourmet-style
fresh departments. Stores are located in New York City,
suburban Westchester County (New York), New Jersey and
Fairfield County (Connecticut).
SuperFresh
These traditional-style supermarkets with full service
pharmacies are located throughout the Mid-Atlantic
States: Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey,
Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
Waldbaum's
Founded by the Waldbaum family, these traditional-style
supermarkets are located on New York's Long Island,
Connecticut, and the New York City boroughs. The company
added services such as full service pharmacies, banks,
and coffee bars to many of the stores.
Canadian Region
A&P
A&P has a very long and successful history in
Canada. This banner, with its traditional
supermarket and pharmacy format can be found
throughout the Province of Ontario from the
northernmost and westernmost points to the suburbs
surrounding Toronto.
Dominion
These conventional food markets are found
primarily in Toronto and the surroundings
suburbs, meeting the needs of city
dwellers.
FoodBasics

Louisiana, in towns

of Mexico.
Midwest Region
Farmer Jack
This is a
traditional-style
full-service supermarket
that is the market
leader in the Southeast
Michigan area. Stores
are located throughout
Michigan and Ohio.
Farmer Jack Food Emporium
These gourmet-style
food stores, similar
to The Food Emporium
found in the
northeast US, are in
metropolitan
markets. They carry
specialty foods and
fresh products that
are generally not
available in the
traditional
supermarket. The
Michigan stores are
located around the
Detroit area.
Kohl's Food Stores

located in the
Milwaukee and
